These are a few my recent iPod repair experiences.

Brad Lang from Calistoga called and set up an appoinntment to bring his 5th Gen Video iPod
in for a new battery.

He left it off and I had it ready for him an hour later.

The battery was $23 and the labor was $40

Fixed - Total cost..$63.

Amy Bautz dropped her Silver 2nd Generation Nano iPod in water.
She called me from Dickinson North Dakota to discuss it. She agreed to send it with hoipes I could bring it back to life.

It got here on March 3rd 2008. It was one of three "water case patients" that I had to triage that day. The other two were 3rd Gen Nano's

I was able to get all three working. One of the Nano 3rd Gens needed no additional parts, just $40 labor fee. Another 3rd Gen needed an LCD.

I was able to get Amy's iPod working with no added parts so it cost her just $40 to get her iPod back and working.

Fixed - Total cost..$40.

Pamela Stuart sent her daughters iPod in from Bridgehampton New York.

The Nano 3rd Generation was put through the washer.

Once here I was ultimately able to get it to work but it had a lot of water trapped within the layers of the LCD. I've taken a separate shot to show the splotchey appearance of the LCD with the water in it. There is no way to get that moisture un-trapped and get a clear image on the screen again so it had to be replaced.

The LCD was $33 and the water immersion labor was $40.

All the music and video files were safe on it and they all played perfectly once (with the new LCD in) I could see what I was doing on it.

Just $73 and it works great and was sent by Fed Ex back to New York.

Fixed - Total cost..$73.
